Background
In 2001, Dr. Robert Levy and Ms. Teresa Barrett formed Okapi Consultants, LLC. Combining more than 20 years of experience in (mainly early phase) clinical trials work and industry consultation we created a company dedicated to small, targeted development projects in pharmaceutical and biotechnological early phase drug development. We have done work for both small and large companies looking for expert, highly personalized, comprehensive Phase I development services at a very competitive fee schedule. We are most suited to projects from 1-2 site PK and 3-6 site proof of concept studies in Phase 1 to 8-10 site Phase IIa trials. We do all the work ourselves, take on no more than two projects simultaneously and never take on more work than we can handle. This allows us to maintain a level of service and responsiveness to our clients not usually found in most contract research organizations.
Recently, Bruce Burnett, PhD joined our staff. His expertise in biochemistry and immunochemistry greatly enhances Okapi's ability to provide "bench to clinic" preclinical drug evaluation and development services.
